Privacy Policy

Cavalier Labs LLC (“Cavalier Labs,” “we,” “us”) builds software that is private by default. This policy explains what our apps do and don’t collect. It covers our website and our apps, including House Band.
The short version. House Band generates music on your device. We don’t have accounts, we don’t run ad networks, and we don’t sell data.
Information we collect
Apps
House Band runs on your device. Audio is generated locally and stays there unless you share it. We do not collect your generated audio, your listening history, or a device advertising identifier. If you subscribe, your subscription and accompanying personal information is handled by the platform.
Online features
Music sets may be updated to improve quality over time, and some optional features may only work with network access:
- Set enhancement. Older devices need a little help creating custom sets, and we recommend sending your request to our server for enhancement. Unless you disable it, your custom set requests are sent to our server to improve quality.
- Shared set links. If you open or share a set link, the link encodes set settings only — not the actual audio or your personal information.
- Feedback. If you send us bug reports or feedback, you may do so anonymously or opt to share contact information for us to followup.
These features are disclosed in the app and only take place at user direction.
Subscriptions
Purchases on iOS and Mac are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive your subscription status to unlock features, but we never see your payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by their privacy policy.
Purchases on Android are handled by Google through the Play Store. We receive your subscription status to unlock features, but we never see your payment details. Google's handling of your purchase is governed by their privacy policy.
Website
This website is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the site. We do not add advertising or cross-site tracking cookies to this website.
How we use information
We use the limited data above only to provide and improve our product, to keep our services running and secure, and to prevent abuse. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or resale.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share identifiable data only with service providers that help us operate — for example, our hosting and network provider (Cloudflare), or Apple or Google for purchases — and only to the extent needed to provide that function.
Data retention
On-device content stays on your device until you delete it. For optional online requests, we keep only what’s necessary to operate and secure the service.
Children
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
We do not retain personally identifiable information about you. Requests for deletion related to your subscription should be shared with Apple or Google respectively.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
