Cavalier Labs LLC (“Cavalier Labs,” “we,” “us”) builds software that is private by default. This policy explains what our apps do and don’t collect. It covers our website and our apps, including House Band and Potluq.
The short version. We keep processing on-device whenever possible. We don’t run ad networks, and we don’t sell data.
Information we collect
Account information
Some of our apps allow you to create an account. If you choose to do so, we collect basic account information like your name and email address.
Content
Some of our apps allow you to submit your own content, like recipe instructions and images.
- AI prompts Some optional features may allow you to send information to AI on our servers to streamline your experience.
- Shared set links. If you open or share a set link, the link encodes set settings only — not the actual audio or your personal information.
- Feedback. If you send us bug reports or feedback, you may do so anonymously or opt to share contact information for us to followup.
These features are disclosed in the app and only take place at user direction.
Subscriptions
Some of our apps offer subscriptions. Purchases are handled by the app store you bought through — Apple’s App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. We receive your subscription status to unlock features, but we never see your payment details. The store’s handling of your purchase is governed by that store’s own privacy policy.
Website
This website is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the site. We do not add advertising or cross-site tracking cookies to this website.
How we use information
We use the limited data above only to provide and improve our products, to keep our services running and secure, and to prevent abuse. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share identifiable data only with service providers that help us operate — for example, our hosting and network provider (Cloudflare), or the app store handling your purchase (Apple or Google) — and only to the extent needed to provide that function.
Data retention
On-device content stays on your device until you delete it. For optional online requests, we keep only what’s necessary to operate and secure the service. Information you save to an online account, like your recipes in Potluq, are retained for the life of your account or until you delete them.
Children
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can save or delete your content within our apps, and remove the app to delete its on-device data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
